We welcome Ron Cochran to Petros Network’s International Board of Directors and to the Petros Network Investment Committee.
A Heart for Missions
When asked why this appointment means so much to him, he stated, “Missions has always been a passion of my heart. My father, Sam Cochran, as a young businessman responded to the call of God in his life and began Light For The Lost, an international missions organization for the Assemblies of God. I remember as a child traveling with him from church to church as he presented his vision for missions.”
Ron was called into ministry as a teenager. That call would include missions that work around the world in countries like India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Brazil, and Mexico. He loves Petros Network’s passion for the lost and unyielding vision for reaching the unreached.
Reaching the Unreached
Ron has served alongside Pastor Ray and Linda Noah, Petros Network Founders, for over 25 years. For 13 of those years, he served with them as the Executive Pastor and Senior Member of the Finance Team at Portland Christian Center. During that time, Ron also served as the Music Director at Portland Christian Center for over 30 years. Year over year, he produced and directed multiple musical presentations including Portland’s Christmas Celebration, featuring 300 singers and a live orchestra, reaching over 15,000 people annually. In addition, Ron has produced 16 recording projects and led thousands of children and youth in short-term missions choirs, and performance opportunities. Ron and his wife, Cheryl are well known in the Portland community for their ability to proclaim the Good News of Jesus through musical performance and inspire volunteers to serve countless hours to reach the unreached.
An Experienced Financial Advisor
In addition to Ron’s appointment to the Petros Network Board, he will sit as a member of the Investment Committee. Ron has a proven track record in organizational and ministry development, real estate, finance, and running a successful small business developing a portfolio of real estate. In addition, he serves as a Certified Financial Coach with the Dave Ramsey organization.
