How Faith is Transforming South Sudan
In the heart of South Sudan, where conflict once silenced the cries for peace, something remarkable is happening. When war first broke out, the focus was on revenge and violence, with little thought for God. But as our dedicated teams began supporting local churches, a transformation began.
One of our church planters, Lodu James, shares, “When the war broke out, nobody was about God. Everybody was about revenge, and killing and all these things. But as you people have come with the idea of supporting the churches, it is bringing them back to unity… back to knowing about God.”
The power of the Gospel is turning hearts from vengeance to peace. People who were once ignorant of God’s Word are now embracing it, and with that comes a profound change. “Even people don’t quarrel the way they did before.” Lodu explains. “As the Word of God has entered them, they have the fear of God now. Even they know how to manage their home because they know very well that the Bible says, you should love your neighbor as you love yourself.'”
Made Possible Through Partnership
This is the impact of the Petros Network in South Sudan. Through the support of people like you, we are equipping indigenous leaders to share, show, and spread the Good News of Jesus. The result? Unity, peace, and a growing number of souls turning to Christ.
Lodu concludes with gratitude, saying, “I’m very glad for what the Petros Network is doing. If it couldn’t be the presence of Petros Network in this area, even my work would not work well. Through the Petros Network, many souls have come to Christ.”
For just $42 a month, you can continue to support this vital work and help end spiritual and physical poverty in communities like those in South Sudan.
