Daily Difficulty in Myanmar
Myanmar’s February 2021 coup has tumbled through the media and news sources with emotionally devastating updates. Six months later, the ripple affecting the Burmese people is a reality many can only imagine. Our Petros Network Church Planters report people are finding Hope in Jesus despite the daily difficulty due to the war and the continued effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Pray for my church; many are suffering “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.””
EPHESIANS 6:12

Hope For an Entire Village
One of our indigenous church planters stands out amid this desperate culture. This last month alone, despite all that is happening around him, Pastor Zaw personally led 13 people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. He reported,
“Pray for my church; many are suffering from sickness and hunger. It isn’t easy to get food for them because of violent uprisings and a rise in Covid-19. But by the grace of God, I have been able to distribute food not just to my church members but to others in the village as well.”

Putting on the Character of Christ
Zaw brings HOPE amid the brokenness surrounding him and his fellow countrymen. He embodies the character of Christ as he shares the Hope of Jesus through his words while laying his life down for his village by his actions. He is demonstrating the gospel in both word and deed as Jesus did.

We All Have a Role
At Petros Network, we believe equipping the indigenous church planter to reach their own people with the Good News of Jesus is the most effective use of our resources. This work would not be possible without the support of passionate partners praying, going, and giving. We all have a role to play in restoring hope, one unreached village at a time.
