Your Fundraiser Toolkit

Everything you need to share your fundraiser with confidence — outreach frameworks, a 30-day rhythm, and encouragement for the journey.

Outreach

Build your launch email

Your email has four parts. Fill in each one in your own words. A personal message from you will always outperform anything we could write.

Why you

One sentence about why you’re doing this. Not why Petros exists — why you care. This is the line people actually read.

What Petros does

Pick one fact that moved you from the options below. One clear line is stronger than a paragraph. Don’t explain everything.

The ask

Your goal, a suggested gift amount, and the link to your fundraiser page. Be specific: “Would you give $25?” works better than “Would you consider giving?”

The close

Why you’re asking this person. Even one sentence — “You’re someone I trust” or “I thought of you” — changes the whole tone.

Opening lines

Pick one that sounds like you, or write your own.

“I don’t usually send emails like this, but this one matters to me.”

“I’ve been looking for a way to do something real about this — and I found it.”

“You’re one of the first people I wanted to tell about this.”

“I just did something I’ve been thinking about for a while.”

“I want to invite you into something that’s been on my heart.”

Your Impact Line

Pick the one that resonates

Choose one impact line to include in your emails, texts, and posts. Different fundraisers should pick different lines — your message should sound like you, not like a campaign.

Church Planting

“50 shares at $100 each plants a church — I’m raising [X] shares.”
“It takes 3 years to train a church planter. My fundraiser helps fund that journey.”

Children’s Feeding

“$12 feeds a child for a month through their local church.”
“A meal every day and clean water — that’s what $12 provides.”

Three steps. Two minutes. Real impact.

Step 1

Pick your cause

Choose from church planting, children’s feeding, clean water, women and girls, or general giving.

Step 2

Set your goal and tell your story

Step 3

Share with your network

Use the outreach templates we provide — email, text, and social — or write your own. Every person you reach is someone new learning about this work.

Common Questions

Questions? We've got answers.

How do I start?

Click “Start Your Fundraiser” and follow the prompts. Pick a cause, set a goal, add your story, and your page is live. The whole process takes about 2 minutes.

Where does the money go?

100% of donations go to the cause your fundraiser supports. Petros Network is a registered 501(c)(3), accredited by ECFA, and rated 4 stars by Charity Navigator.

Do donors get a tax receipt?

Yes. Every donor receives an automatic tax receipt by email immediately after giving. Both U.S. and Canadian receipts are handled automatically.

Can I set my own goal?

Yes. You choose your goal amount. We suggest starting with a goal that feels reachable — hitting it early creates momentum. You can always raise it later.

Can I fundraise as a team?

Yes. You can invite others to join your fundraiser and collaborate on a shared goal. Great for small groups, church teams, or families.

How long does my fundraiser last?

You set the timeline. Most fundraisers run for 2–4 weeks. Your page stays active until you close it.

Ready to start something that matters?
