TRAINED & COMMISSIONED

After a potential leader has been nominated they are sent to their first Petros Network intensive training conference. At this event they receive training from leading pastors and teachers from around the world. They are then commissioned and assigned for up to two years in our sponsorship program into an unreached village.

Samuel attended his first Petros Network intensive training. He had the opportunity to meet other like minded fearless men and women. After hours of training and being interviewed by the Petros Network team he is now commissioned as Missionary Church Planter Samuel.

LAUNCHED

Leaders are launched into some the most remote, hard to reach places in the world; places where there is little or no infrastructure or resources. They live as men and women of peace, caring for the poor and encouraging the oppressed as representatives of God’s great love.

Missionary Church Planter Samuel is then sent out with a two year stipend and the prayers & support of his sponsors. When asked why he wants to partner with Petros Network to plant churches he said, “It’s simple. Jesus told us to go out and make disciples and that is what I am going to do. I would give my life for this because Christ gave his life for me.”

BECOMES A CONDUIT OF REDEMPTIVE LIFT

Thriving church plants become the center of a community from which everyone benefits. We walk alongside and train our indigenous leaders to leverage their influence and resources to resolve community needs—empower women, protect children, educate out of poverty, feed families, improve health, provide clean water and build character through sports— so that all of life in that community improves. We call this community transformation “Redemptive Lift.”

One of Petros Network’s core missional values is, the local church is the hope of the world. When Missionary Church Planter Samuel establishes a church in an unreached community, all of life in the community benefits.

FULLY SUSTAINABLE AFTER 2 YEARS

Within the two year sponsorship incubation period, Petros Network sets these missionary church planters on a path to becoming self-sustaining and reproducing. They, and their churches, are then released and returned to the support of their denomination or governing body. Typically by the end of two years, church plants reach the numerical and maturity standards required by their denomination to be considered a fully functioning church community.

After the two years of training and mentorship, Missionary Church Planter Samuel is equipped to continue to lead in his village. He is also eligible for further education through an accredited Bible Diploma Program. Sponsorships are available to assist him in this next step.
